With annual favorites, competitions, festivals and parties, there is no shortage of events at Alpine Meadows on the calendar for February. For thrill-seekers who want to show off their skills, or for those who either prefer to be a spectator or who simply know how to enjoy a good party, there are plenty of fun activities to partake in the coming weeks at Alpine Meadows. 

With a slight modification to the schedule, the 2012 Rahlves Banzai Tour is set to begin on February 11-12 with the Beaver Bowl Banzai at Kirkwood.

Organizers have announced that due to less-than-optimal conditions, the first stop of the 2012 Rahlves Banzai Tour, the Beaver Bowl Banzai scheduled for February 4th and 5th at Alpine Meadows, has been postponed.

After three days of storms, and up to six feet of new snow, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows have announced extensive expansion of skiable terrain, over 700% more than last week, with a combined 1550 acres and 21 lifts now in operation.

As resorts around the country deal with a record-breaking lack of natural snowfall, Squaw Valley's CEO, Andy Wirth has taken a positive message to national television, touting Tahoe's excellent snowmaking and propensity for a quick turnaround.
