Ambassador Toys was founded in 1997 to promote understanding and respect for cultures around the world through the beauty and creativity of toys, books and music.

An award-winning store, named the Best Toy Store You Wish Had Been Around When You Were a Kid by the Guardian in their 25th Anniversary edition. Nominated by the Toy Industry of America in 2003 for a T.O.T.Y. award (Academy Awards of the toy industry) as one of five best specialty toy stores in the United States.
