The May episode of Tahoe Time switches gears to summer, with a look at four of Lake Tahoe's favorite watersports activities and outfitters. Take a look, then make plans to spend some Tahoe time on the water!

Mountain Air Sports - Truckee River Rafting
Rafting on the Truckee River, between Tahoe City and River Ranch, is a great family activity and a Tahoe favorite. Climb aboard a durable raft and launch from Tahoe City to enjoy a peaceful, 3 hour ride through quiet sections, mountain meadow areas, and casual, fun rapids. Stop along the way and picnic, a swim and enjoy the river scene. Shuttle buses return you to the start when you're done.

North Tahoe Watersports

Tahoe Sailing Charters
There's no better way to experience Tahoe's waters than aboard a sailboat. Tahoe Sailing Charters offers several daily sailing trips for groups or individuals aboard the 50' Tahoe Cruz. Each cruise includes drinks and snacks, and incredible views of Lake Tahoe. Sunset cruises are available each evening, and private charters are available.

High Sierra Waterski School
High Sierra Waterski School is a mainstay of Tahoe's summer activities on the lake. In operation and family owned for over 30 years, High Sierra offers top-level waterskiing and wakeboarding instruction for all ages, plus a huge fleet of rental craft, including ski boats, kayaks, PWC's, stand-up paddleboards, and more. 

High Sierra is already open, as of May 7th, and has two locations - at Sunnyside Resort and in Homewood.
