The North Tahoe Minute Video - Early May, 2008
Skiers and golfers are in luck as both resort types are now open. You can make some turns in the morning and hit the links in the afternoon. Conditions are still great at the two area resorts still open: Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA. Old Brockway Golf course is now open for the season and several more North Lake Tahoe courses will be open shortly. Spring is the time to be in Tahoe if you are both a skier and a golfer, you get the best of both worlds!

It's officially spring in North Lake Tahoe, and that means great weather, blues skies and tons of snow still left for skiers and riders. Spring also brings a bevy of fun and wacky events, including live music, a wasabi eating contest and the annual Lake Cushing Crossing. Also coming up is the Tahoe-Turckee Earth Day celebration and Northstar-At-Tahoe's Spring It On. The season is winding down but there is still time to get up and enjoy the snow, sunshine and everything else North Tahoe has to offer.

Visitors to the North Lake Tahoe region can ski and snowboard through May thanks to a record snow pack with more than 450 inches of snow falling in some areas and ski resorts' extending their closing dates. It's Spring skiing at it's best, and skiers and snowboarders are soaking up the Lake Tahoe sunshine while hitting the slopes and taking part in some of the area's most wacky and wild on-mountain events.
