Councilman, Richard Anderson, was voted in as Vice Mayor. Traditionally, the positions of Mayor and Vice Mayor in the Town of Truckee rotate annually among the Town Council members at the first meeting in December.

Outgoing Mayor Threshie summarized thoughts from his year as mayor. He believes the primary reason for the success of Truckee as a community "is the ability to work together, to corroborate, to put diverse skills and energies and passions together and come up with something that is almost unheard of in today's world, which is balance."

Threshie hopes for continued collaboration, mutual respect and ongoing vibrant community participation in the coming years. He stated thanks and gratitude to the community, staff, the town council, his family, parents, and his love, Lisa Wallace.

Mayor Ingalls presented a plaque from the Town of Truckee to Threshie for the time and energy he dedicated to his time as mayor. Threshie will continue to serve as Councilman on the Truckee Town Council for one more year.  --By Stephanie Rogerson.
