This camera looks north from West River St. across the tracks at Historic Downtown Truckee.

Catch the action of the Truckee Train Cam - a variety of trains pass through Truckee, including Amtrak's California Zephyr to and from Chicago and the midwest (Check Current Schedule).

I"d love to see a live feed of downtown. I also view the CalTrans cameras often, but watching Truckee downtown would be more fun than watching traffic flow on the freeway.

Really enjoy the webcam; keep up the good work; haven't been able to catch any trains yet, though; there used to be a webcam on the other side of the main street pointed toward the front of the train station; any chance of bringing it back?

I'd love to see a live camera. I watch Tahoe City on CalTran camera's. I miss the area and the camera's are a great way to feel like I'm still there.

I'm afraid storms and powder blips and outages sometimes interrupt the camera's functionality - usually due to some outage of the internet connection. Don't get too mad - we are lucky to have a camera there. We are looking at it all the way from Australia so we are closer to our daughter who lives there.
