Over 80 local businesses will be exhibiting at the annual Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce Business Expo and Mixer being held at the Resort at Squaw Creek on Thursday evening. Tahoe TV, a proud media sponsor of the event and supporter of local businesses, was a last year's gathering and caught some highlights on camera.

The Business Expo, designed to be part Expo and part business social event, will showcase over 80 different businesses, demonstrating the strength and variety of our local economy and fostering a positive business environment.

Tradeshows are one of the most proven ways to reach customers. Sales are frequently developed through the relationships we have created with other people. The Expo combines the benefits of a tradeshow and a Chamber mixer to create the ultimate networking experience. The Truckee Donner Chamber mixers are some of the best networking events in the Truckee-Tahoe region.

The Expo provides exhibitors an opportunity to promote their business on a personal level at an affordable cost; introduce and raise awareness of new or existing products and services; meet new people who could become permanent customers/clients; educate people about their business; and network.

Attendance is free and considered by many a must-attend event for anyone doing business in the Truckee-Tahoe area. There will be an abundance of door prizes and giveaways at the exhibitor booths. Contests and games for prizes provide a lively, festive environment. 101.5 FM Truckee Tahoe Radio will be broadcasting live from the venue, including on-air interviews with exhibitors and attendees. The crew from Tahoe TV will be filming the event and will produce a special video segment that will air online and on their TV network around the region.

In past years, exhibitors have ranged from restaurant, catering, health services, insurance, media, financial planning, cabinets, interior design, home repair, advertising agencies, office supplies, employment services, and more.

“Many of our members exhibit every year because it is so successful for them. In addition, we have several new members and businesses that will be there this year. The Expo just becomes more popular every year,” says Lynn Saunders, President/CEO. “The energy and excitement of people networking, conducting business and having fun just fills the Grand Ballroom at The Resort at Squaw Creek.”
