Royal Gorge Sold: 4,000 Acres near Donner Summit

(Originally published 10/10/05) Cross-country skiing legend, Royal Gorge, was sold for a reported $35 million October 5, 2005. The buyer, Foster Enterprises, developed Foster City, south of the San Francisco airport. The seller was John Slouber who founded the resort in 1971.
